FinKut is a research tool. The information below explains what you should—and should not—expect from it.
Research tools, not investment advice
FinKut is a financial research workspace. It is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, fiduciary, financial planner, tax adviser, or legal adviser. The Service does not assess whether an investment is suitable for you, does not manage money, and does not place trades.
A company page, chart, screen, filing summary, chat response, or alert is information to support your own research—not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or short a security.
Sources, timing, and accuracy
Financial data depends on the source, market, filing, timestamp, currency, methodology, and licensing terms behind it. Data may be delayed, restated, incomplete, unavailable, or displayed with a calculation or mapping error. Check important figures against the underlying filing or another authoritative source before acting.
AI-assisted analysis
AI features can help organize filings, connect evidence, summarize documents, and explore a research question. They can also misread context, omit a qualification, confuse companies or periods, produce an unsupported inference, or present an incorrect answer with confidence. Treat every generated answer as a draft to verify, not as an authoritative financial conclusion.
Institutional holdings (Form 13F)
Institutional holdings come from Form 13F filings. Managers file up to 45 days after a quarter ends, so positions may have changed by the time you see them. A 13F reports certain long positions in U.S.-listed securities only: it does not show short positions, cash, most non-U.S. holdings, or many derivatives, and filings can be amended later. Values and estimated buying or selling are derived from reported share counts and period-end prices and are not a record of actual trades.
Congressional trading
Congressional trades come from public disclosures made under the STOCK Act. Members may report up to 45 days after a transaction, and some reports arrive later. Amounts are disclosed as ranges, not exact values, so volumes shown are estimates. A disclosure does not show why a trade was made, whether the member personally directed it, or what will be traded next. FinKut is not affiliated with or endorsed by any member of Congress or government body.
Analyst estimates and valuation tools
Analyst ratings, price targets, and estimates are opinions of third parties supplied by our data provider; they are often revised and frequently wrong. The DCF and other valuation tools produce the result of the assumptions entered, including defaults we supply. A calculated value per share is a model output, not a price target, a forecast, or a statement that a security is cheap or expensive.
Prices and data sources
Prices, market values, and charts may be delayed and are not intended for trading decisions. Interactive price charts are provided by TradingView. Fundamentals, estimates, institutional and congressional data are supplied by Financial Modeling Prep (FMP); filings come from the U.S. SEC EDGAR system. Screens, rankings, and peer comparisons describe reported data and are not recommendations.
No solicitation or suitability assessment
Nothing on FinKut is a solicitation, personalized recommendation, research report prepared for your circumstances, or offer to buy or sell a security. FinKut does not know your financial position, objectives, tax situation, liquidity needs, or risk tolerance and does not make a suitability determination.
Investment risk
Investing involves risk, including possible loss of some or all of your capital. Past performance does not predict future results. You are responsible for evaluating a security, its issuer, your objectives, liquidity needs, taxes, and risk tolerance. Seek advice from a qualified professional when your circumstances require it.
Forward-looking statements and conflicts
References to expected growth, future events, scenarios, estimates, or outlooks are forward-looking statements and may not occur. Data, commentary, and third-party sources may reflect assumptions or incentives that are not visible in the display. Consider the source, date, and methodology before relying on them.
Service limitations
The Service may fail, change, return partial results, or be temporarily unavailable. The Service must not be the sole basis for buying, selling, or holding a security.
